Tonopah Summit, Nevada
Tonopah Summit is a low-sulfidation epithermal gold-silver project located in Nye and Esmerelda County, Nevada. The land position includes 425 unpatented lode mining claims; and 8,500 acres of BLM land which comes with a 30-day drill permitting timeline.
The project is strategically situated to include the southern portions of the Tonopah Ag-Au District (174 Moz Ag and 1.86 Moz Au historic production)¹ and northern and eastern portions of the Divide Au-Ag district that carries a recent positive feasibility study on the Hasbrouck Project.²
EMX land position includes key host rocks seen within Tonopah and Divide district and kilometer-scale zones of argillization, silificiation, and zones of epithermal veins with sinter/near surface silica identified in multiple areas on the property. Historic reports mention multi-gram Au and >100g/t Ag in sinter zones, which EMX has sampled for verification (assays pending).
Keys targets are Tonopah-style high-grade underground mineable epithermal veins beneath syn- to post-mineral cover. The potential for continuation of Main Tonopah Vein to be offset onto EMX property is likely given regional right-lateral faulting, typical of the Walker Lane District, and the fact the Main Tonopah vein is cut by Halifax fault. Additional target exists in the south for a bulk-tonnage, surface minable disseminated Au-Ag hosted in shallow hydrothermal cells associated with widespread clay/silica and sinter.
